Description:

The Peak District National Park is Britain’s first national park  established  in 1951. It includes a large area of Derbyshire and parts of Yorkshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire with  38 000 people residing in the area.

The park has breath taking natural beauty with it’s limestone dales and rugged moor lands.  Places of interest include Chatsworth House which is  residence of the Dukes of Devonshire, and the Haddon House near Bakewell  residence of the Mannors  family.

Other interesting buildings are the Lyme Hall seen in the BBC drama Pride and Prejudice as Mr Darcy’s residence and Hardwick Hall.

Also the peak district gives plenty of adventure from
rock climbing, to caving, cycling and  hang-gliding .  The park is the second most visited park in the world with visitors from many countries.
