Description:
Darley Park is situated between the A6 and Derwent Road very close to the city centre. It is very popular for it's lovely unspoilt park lands and various well maintained shrubs and flower beds.
Darley Park is also one of 600 parks around the country with a national collection of viburnum and Hydrangea plants, a conservation scheme started to save plants from extinction. More than 30 different trees from all over the world are found in the park.
Darley Park's beautiful, peaceful environment is great for meditation and quiet walks and it's undulating slopes are great for skiing in winter. Many sports clubs including Derby Rowing Club are based here.
The Park also has a cafe and toilets plus a children's play area complete with swings and seesaw. A number of concerts are held every year including the classical concert held every summer.
