Derby Westfield Shopping mall voted the best in the UK

Based on reports from mystery shoppers, Derby’s Westfield shopping centre has been awarded with the largest shopping centre for a second year in a row and the ACE Awards, organised by industry body the British Council of Shopping Centres (BCSC).

After the shopping centre which was opened in October 2007 was voted the best in the country for customer service, it has left Westfield Derby’s staff celebrating.

Derby Westfield Shopping centre beat competition from more than 40 shopping centres including Birmingham's Bullring, Highcross in Leicester, the Trafford Centre in Manchester and Brent Cross in London.

Bill Giouroukos, director of operations for Westfield UK, said: "We are delighted to accept this award and to be recognised for our customer services by BCSC.

"We dedicate enormous time and effort to ensure our shoppers have the best possible experience in our centres.

"For the second year running, Westfield Derby has shown its ability to deliver customer excellence for the millions of shoppers who visit each year."
