Description:
When it comes to eating out, I think “restaurant” in my mind. Many people in Derby eat out every day and every night as we all sometimes get tired of home cooked food or maybe we might want to celebrate an occasion with family, friends or partner.
As Derby is a multicultural city, there are so many different types of restaurants with cuisines ranging from British, Indian, Caribbean, Italian, Thai, Chinese, American and others. Meals are served and eaten in the restaurants but in some of them you can order a takeaway.
We all enjoy a glass or two of wine when enjoying our meals, yes in most Derby restaurants alcohol is served together with the food.
Here is a list of some of the best restaurants in Derby I’ve visited.
This is a mobile 4 star restaurant run by local experienced Chefs. Dial- A- Chef is a unique service whose specialty is catering to satisfy your unique gourmet dining needs in the comfort of your own home.
May Sum Chinese Buffet Restaurant:
According to my personal preference I think this the best restaurant of all restaurants I’ve visited in Derby. This is because of the friendly staff, clean tables, customer service and not forgetting quality delicious food at a low price. May Sum is a self-service Chinese buffet restaurant located on Babington Lane in Derby city centre area.
It’s situated within the cathedral quarter at the market place. When it comes to delicious chicken I think “Nandos” probably because I enjoy chicken. It can be served with a small portion of rice or chips and if you want with some chilli sauce either mild or strong. At Nandos you can refill your glass of any soft drink as much as you like. I loved the environment especially the music they play in the back ground. It’s something a bit different you don’t usually get in other restaurants.
Zizzi’s located in the centre of Derby in Friargate. It serves a variety of Italian dishes. It’s one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve visited. I loved the pasta and dessert. Yes, I also did have a glass of their house wine which I was really impressed with. The restaurant has an open kitchen and the special antipasti platter has mixed Italian meats with buffalo milk mozzarella, marinated sun-dried tomatoes, mixed olives and red onion focaccia bread.
Masala Art Restaurant in Derby
I visited them on one of my friend’s birthdays for an Indian flavour. It’s got two floors and is located along midland road Derby near the train station. It’s a comfortable and attractive restaurant that blends knowledge, time-honoured experience and tradition, to provide customers with an array of delightful Indian dishes.
There are so many other restaurants in Derby I have not had the chance to visit yet but I am sure most you have been there loads of times. Not to worry, I will soon have a chance to eat out there that’s if there not too costly. CHECK THEM OUT
