By tweet value we mean the acceptable humorous balance between, social, business, and just general twitting. These have also mentioned others or been mentioned by others or recommended by their followers.

Derby Cin has 146 followers and has 271 followers. Derby Cin is about building creative relationships. Cin are there to support the development of the creative industries in Derbyshire and beyond. This is a well established organisation run by creatives for creatives. When reviewing this Twitter page I found that they had not tweeted for a very long time and therefore is not maybe a Twitter page that will be useful for anyone in Derby.

Derby Quad (http://twitter.com/derbyquad)

Derby Quad is a well established Twitter Account with 1,259 following and 1,325 followers. They tweet very regular with their last tweet over 3 hours ago. It is well presented and shows you what the organisation is, with the main logo as the background of the profile. They have many well established links with other companies as well. They tweet all their events and other local events from local companies as well. They are part of the Derby Live group, therefore very established within Derby and are certainly recommended to potential twitters.

This is the Twitter feed for Derbyshire Constabulary. This is a very poor twitter account compared to the other accounts with only 9 following and 489 followers; however they are very update with crucial information such as road closures, local investigations, and keeping the public up-to-date. I still feel this is such a very wasted Twitter Account with only 9 accounts been followed by Derby Police and therefore would recommend that they got in touch with local companies.

University of Derby: careers derby (http://twitter.com/careersderby)

This is the Careers advice from the Career Development Centre at the University for Students & graduates. As a student myself, this Twitter Account is very important to help find out what local events can help improve my career aspirations and also find out what local jobs and jobs are on offer for student graduates. Yet again, they only have 91 followers and therefore it is important for the University of Derby that they promote the Twitter Account a lot more to the students of Derby.

Ladies night out (http://twitter.com/ladiesnightout)

Keep up to date with the Ladies Night out Club in Derbyshire. Yet again a very group twitter account for the ladies out in derby who want a night out in Derbyshire! However with only a small amount of followers. They just need to attract more visitors, but they do tweet about relevant stories and events that attract their target market. Is highly recommended for twitters in Derby.

Light Films Ltd (http://twitter.com/LightFilmsLtd)

Light Films Ltd is the film production company that deals with independent films, corporate films, events films, educational services and digital media. Again they do not have many followers with only 281 and following 290 other twitter sites.

However there are very live site with tweets being updated throughout the day! They also provide links with other tweeters such as Social_smallbiz, Burton College, Mail Magic and Derbyshire News. This is what companies should be doing and shows that this site is very successful and does the right thing in targeting their audience.

Fab Photo Gifts (http://twitter.com/fabphotogifts)

This company deals with Fabulous Photo gifts, personalised photo gifts, news, gossip etc and is a local company in the Derbyshire area. They also have a good following of 519 followers and with 624 following. From what I saw, they do not plug their services to tweeters but actually recommend other companies to their customers, so they don’t necessarily use twitter as a selling tool.  They are very personal with their tweets! I would certainly recommend their link to their website as it is very good and offer very good products and services.

Clare Bampton (http://twitter.com/ClareBampton)

Clare Bampton is the founder of Bampton Communications Limited; she has around 15 years’ experience in PR and marketing within both private and public sector organisations, and is based in the Derbyshire area. She doesn’t have large amounts of followers but is a very good twitter site in giving advice to other companies. We have firsthand experience of giving her advice to us about marketing in derby! She does this with other companies as well and tweets very well.

Nik Hewitt (http://twitter.com/nikhewitt)

Nik Hewitt deals with a range of services from marketing to social media. He deals with working & lecturing in Digital Community, Social media development, SEO, PPC, virtual worlds & film/video. This site out of all the sites I’ve looked at is the one that has impressed me the most with 1,012 followers. They are a very active twitter site with lots of mentioning other companies and a link with another tweeter Sarah lay who I’m also going to mention in this top 10 twitter sites. The last tweet was made 4 minutes ago and just shows how popular and important twitter is to them.

Sarah Lay mentions in her Bio that she is a sometime writer words and music, full time wife and mother, living social media, working for the local government, studying online comms. The views here are mine and mine only. This made me want to find out more about who she was and what she mentioned in her tweets, again it is a very personal twitter page and her tweets made me laugh, giving myself a sight into her life! Definitely recommended page for others!
