The Derby Fame Factor is Ram FM and Derbylive's talent search competition in Derby, first launched in 2009. This year the competition promises to be bigger and better than last year as the search-for-a-pantomime-star talent stages up!
Last year's Ram FM and Derbylive Fame Factor winner, contortionist Lucy Mather, starred alongside Neil Morrissey and Eternal's Kelle Bryan in Derbylive's Pantomime Cinderella, appearing in twenty-three shows and performing to over 20,000 people.
The Prize winner of Fame Factor 2010 will star in Derbylive and Paul Holman Associates Pantomime Aladdin, at the Assembly Rooms from Wednesday 8 December until Sunday 9 January 2011.
They will also perform at the Derby Bonfire & Fireworks Display on Sunday 7 November and Christmas Lights Switch-On on Saturday 20 November.
The role offered to the Fame Factor winner will be subject to casting opportunities, the winner’s act and their availability.The first audition will be at Derbylive’s Assembly Rooms on either Tuesday 1 or Wednesday 2 June.
The successful performer will be invited to call-back on Saturday 12 June, they will be asked to perform another song or read from a section of script.
Performers will then be selected to proceed to the live heats on Tuesday 13 & Wednesday 14 July and the Final will take place on Friday 30 July.
