Description:
Derby College is reorganising its management structure which may lead to up to 20 people loosing their jobs.
The College began consultations with staff yesterday and section 188 redundancy notices were issued to 112 staff, indicating that jobs may be at risk.
The restructuring comes after major changes at the college over the past couple of years, including the sale of the college's major campus at Wilmorton and the £48m rebuilding and refurbishing of its new city-centre site at the Roundhouse in Pride Park.
The college also sold its Mackworth campus and a farm belonging to the Broomfield campus at Morley to build the Joseph Wright sixth-form centre in Cathedral Road.
The College’s most recent development is a merger with South East Derbyshire College, with sites in Ilkeston and Heanor.
