More than 100,000 people on Derbyshire’s 2010 Download Festival

Europe's biggest heavy metal festival, Download Festival 2010 is finishing today, having kicked off on Friday the 11^th of June at Donington Park just outside Derby.

Festival at Donington Park features more heavy metal bands than you can shake a studded wristband at.

Other big names on the extensive main stage line-up include Them Crooked Vultures, Deftones, Motorhead and Megadeth, while Bullet for My Valentine, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Stonesour top the bill on the second stage.

The festival campsite opened on Wednesday and Leicestershire Police reported that nearly everything had gone smoothly, the only incident being a gas canister, believed to be leaking and exposed to a naked flame, which exploded on Thursday night as two concession stand workers were near it.

Both suffered severe burns and were taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre, where one is said to be seriously ill.
