Derby College’s Peak Award prize ceremony held at the college's new £48 million Roundhouse campus in Pride Park for the first time, saw up to 25 super students recognised for their hard work.
The Derby college Peak Award prize winners came from diverse professional and educational backgrounds. These included A-level and vocational students who joined the Derby College from school, as well as mature students and company employees who have completed qualifications in the workplace.
This is the seventh year Derby college have given out the awards. Chris Martin of Matlock, an engineer at Derbyshire County Council, was among the mature learners who have completed work-based qualifications. He is studying for an ILM level seven certificate in executive management with the college and received the business services award.
Derby College teaching and support staff who have made a special contribution to college life were also recognised.
