The Good Samaritan was at the Derby county Show

The Good Samaritan spirit was witnessed at work at the Derby County show which took place three weeks ago by a show visitor from Alfreton, Derbyshire, “Susie Vardy”. 

Susie’s grandson went into a fit just twenty minutes after they had arrived to enjoy the show. A stranger offered to help and whisked the boy to the nearest medical emergency tent.

“When I got to the tent the guy who helped me went, my grandson and I were whisked off in an ambulance to the Royal Derby where after medication he eventually recovered”, said  Susie.  “I never got a chance to thank him from the bottom of my heart for his help; I thought he may have had something to do with the show as he instantly knew where to take my grandson”, Susie added. 

Derby county Show was held on the 27^th of June 2010 at the Showground in Elvaston as usual. The show had a wide variety of tents containing Food Exhibitors, the Derbyshire Women’s Institute, Rabbit Tent, Cavy (Guinea pig) tent, Pigeons and Poultry, a colourful Floral Art and Horticulture tent, Crafts and Rural Crafts including demonstrations.
