Derby fame factor finalist line up announced

Derby fame factor winner on the night of the 30^th of July will get the chance to star alongside Neil Morrissey at the Derby Assembly Rooms in the Christmas panto Aladdin.

 

The 10 acts which have already secured a place in the final after being put through by judges during the heats have been announced as :

 

John Whetton, a 21-year-old football freestyler from Alvaston.

 

Shaena Walsh-Bell, a 12-year-old singer from Loughborough, who performed Part of Your World from the Disney film The Little Mermaid.

 

The Nightingales, an eight -strong vocal group from across Derby, who sang Memory.

 

Elisha Cooper, a 16-year-old from Littleover, who sang the Christina Aguilera hit Beautiful.

 

Junior Dynamite, a 15-strong street dance group from Derby. The senior Dynamite troupe narrowly missed out after reaching the final last year and the juniors are hoping to go one better by winning the 2010 contest.

 

Benjamin Thompson, from Spondon, who performed a comedy dance routine that saw him move from Michael Jackson’s jewelled glove to a pink tutu.

 

Marcia Lynette Campbell, from Derby, whose Beyonce number impressed the judges.

 

Adam Thornewill, a fire dancer from Chaddesden, who has made the final for the second year in a row.

 

Victoria Haslam, a 14-year-old from Little Eaton, who sang the Leona Lewis track Here I Am.

 

Connected 5, a dance group from Oakwood, aged from 10-15, whose adrenaline-packed show got the thumbs up.

 

The show will start at 7.30pm and tickets are £10.
