Lantern Making
Kids can go and enjoy lantern making and tree wishes at Erewash Museum in Ilkeston this week. Promises to be an educational and fun learning experience for all ages. The lanterns and tree wishes will all form part of a special display which takes place on the 19th December.

Erewash Festival of light
Carrying on from the Lantern Making, Erewash Festival of Light is the main event on the Friday celebrating the years shortest day by creating a labyrinth of light in the museum gardens with lanterns and tree wishes. Also enjoying a live performance of Early Music songs by the Aitone Early Music Group

Christmas at Keddleston Hall
On Friday 19th of December, Keddleston Hall are holding their annual chorale in Caesars’ Hall followed by mulled wine and mince pies in the old kitchen restaurant.

“IT’S BEHIND YOU” Yep it is certainly that time of the year again and this year in Derby, we are very pleased to announce that this year’s production at the Assembly Rooms is Cinderella, and off course staring some well known names.
This year’s celebrities are Neil Morrissey from Men behaving badly and waterloo road who is playing buttons and Eternal’s Kelle Bryan as Cinderella.
This year’s production promises to be the most lavish pantomime ever to be staged at the Assembly Rooms, making it the hottest ticket in Derby this festive Period.

Other productions include the Snow Queen which is promises to be a heart – warming festive treat which will leave young and old and alike gasping in wonder and excitement. The show will be running from 26th November 2009 to 16 January 2009.

Derby Live is also showing “The Christmas Wrangle” which promises to be a production full of hilarious celebration and musical voyage into the wild and wonderful world of Edward Lear’s nonsense poetry, which promises to be an exciting and festive treat for the whole family.
“The Christmas Wrangle” will be showing at the Guildhall Theatre from Thursday 10th December to Thursday 24th December 2009.
