Royal Derby Hospital shaken by bad weather injuries

Several routine operations in the Royal Derby hospital have been put to hold to make room for cold weather injuries.

The hospital has postponed the treatment or surgery of more than 50 patients because beds are being used for emergencies.

More snow overnight has continued to affect the emergency services with police and ambulance warning they will take longer to respond.

Dozens of schools have also said they will remain closed.
