Slippery roads may disappear soon

We may finally say good bye to the slippery roads as the council promises grit deliveries from the government.

Derbyshire count only has enough grit to last for another 24 hours but say they are not concerned about running out as the Government has been ensuring regular deliveries.

A spokesman said, the council received regular deliveries almost every day for the last week, and was expecting another this afternoon.

The councils are on the organisation's "red alert" list, which makes them a priority for deliveries.
