New Government Fund to benefit Derby businesses

The Business Growth Fund launched by the British Bankers Association and the Government, targets medium sized businesses around the country.

Banks will invest between £2 million and £10 million in various firms in exchange for business shares ranging from 10% to 50%.

 

The 2.5 billion fund is strictly for medium enterprises and to qualify participants must have an annual turnover of £10 to £100 million.

 

Business leaders in Derbyshire have welcomed the scheme.

 

Chief executive of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce, George Cowcher said the  fund is another step forward in creating a better environment for business.
