TweetThe Business Growth Fund launched by the British Bankers Association and the Government, targets medium sized businesses around the country.
Banks will invest between £2 million and £10 million in various firms in exchange for business shares ranging from 10% to 50%.
The 2.5 billion fund is strictly for medium enterprises and to qualify participants must have an annual turnover of £10 to £100 million.
Business leaders in Derbyshire have welcomed the scheme.
Chief executive of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce, George Cowcher said the fund is another step forward in creating a better environment for business.
