The Dome Restaurant at The University of Derby in Buxton, Derbyshire
The Department of Hospitality, Catering and Tourism welcomes diners to the famed Dome in the centre of Buxton. A perfect excuse to examine the original imposing building built by John Carr of York in 1779.
With the then Duke of Devonshire in 1877 commissioned the Dome that is now the centrepiece of the University’s Devonshire Campus.
A fabulous concept where degree calibre students carry their passion for catering and hospitality and are coached and monitored by the lecturers in charge; all experienced front of house and chef teams to ensure a great dining experience.
Diners go through the main entrance of the Dome building and can marvel at the sheer scale of the building and the complexity of the building architecture before meandering up to the Balcony cafe area and through into the Dome restaurant.
Fantastic modern British cuisine awaits visitors with dishes such as Tuna Carpaccio for start; and Roast supreme and confit leg of guinea fowl with lentil du Pay makes an excellent main course choice.
Finish the menu with freshly prepared pastries from the kitchen and freshly ground coffee and this four course meal will only cost £18.50, Capacity:70, Dress code:None.
